Inspiration

The term “couch potato” became popular in 1976, therefore, Wally’s use of the term is quite anachronistic here. It was on July 15, 1976 that couch potato came into being, uttered by Tom Iacino of Pasadena, California, during a telephone conversation. He copyrighted the term and created books around the idea. Hopefully, the term is now a part of the lexicon of world language and he won’t be upset by my use of it.
